The event will take place on Tuesday 27 January 2026, 4pm to 7pm at the Talacre Community Centre, Gamfa Wen, CH8 9RT.
You will be able to speak to the project teams from Liverpool Bay CCS Limited, Saipem, and Boskalis and ask any questions regarding the works at PoA. There are two projects preparing the PoA Terminal to transport and store CO2 in the depleted gas reservoirs beneath Liverpool Bay:

You will be able to speak to the project teams from Liverpool Bay CCS Limited, Saipem, and Boskalis and ask any questions regarding the works at PoA. There are two projects preparing the PoA Terminal to transport and store CO2 in the depleted gas reservoirs beneath Liverpool Bay:
- PoA Cable Route Foreshore Works – laying a new combined electric and fibre optic cable to connect the onshore grid at the PoA Terminal to the New Douglas Offshore CCS Platform in Liverpool Bay. Work will begin in February 2026 by the appointed principal contractor, Boskalis.
- PoA Decommissioning and Site Preparation Works – decommissioning and repurposing the PoA Terminal to integrate it into the Liverpool Bay CO2 Transport and Storage infrastructure. The construction phase will begin in February 2026 by the main contractor, Saipem.
