United Infrastructure (UI), our Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor, has implemented temporary two-way traffic management measures today (Monday, 23 February 2026) on Connah's Quay Road, Northop, as part of the Main Onshore Pipeline's (the Pipeline) construction programme. These measures are scheduled to end on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Two‑way traffic management signals use temporary traffic lights to manage traffic flow around roadworks where the road is restricted to a single lane. These measures are in place to ensure the safety of the community and on-site project team. They also keep traffic flowing as freely as possible while heavy goods vehicles enter and exit the construction compounds near Connah's Quay Road.
These measures have been approved by Flintshire County Council (FCC) in advance, and more information of these works can be found in the roadworks map section of the FCC website here
Further updates about works to facilitate the construction of the Pipeline will be added onto the HyNet Hub Latest News section in the future.
