Point of Ayr: Tower demolition to begin at Point of Ayr Terminal

Tower demolition works are due to begin at the Point of Ayr Terminal this week, as part of the ongoing decommissioning and construction activity in the Terminal and surrounding Colliery area.
Tower demolition works
As part of the decommissioning programme, the demolition of tower structures within the Terminal is due to begin from Thursday 30 April. During this time, you may notice increased site activity, including the use of specialist equipment and associated noise as these works are carried out in a controlled manner.

These works are a key step in enabling the Liverpool Bay CO2 Transportation and Storage (T&S) infrastructure, which provides the backbone to the HyNet Industrial Decarbonisation Cluster.

· Saturday: 08:00 to 13:00

You may also spot drones operating within the Terminal boundary.
