The planning process

Following the statutory Pre-Application Consultation (PAC), which took place between 16 June and 14 July 2025, the planning application for Point of Ayr (PoA) Cable Route Foreshore Works Proposed Development was submitted under the Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA) 1990 (as amended) to Flintshire County Council (FCC) for determination. The consultation activities, analysis of feedback and our response to the issues raised was presented in the PAC Report submitted as part of the planning application in August 2025.

The planning application for the Proposed Development was granted consent by the FCC planning committee in November 2025.
